What We’re Sweet On: Truly Multipurpose Oil

Can one product moisturize and balance your face, body, and even your hair? Yes, if it's the right oil. And right now we're rather fond of O.N.E. Skincare ($30). It's not for everybody - quite literally, since oily complexions won't benefit as much - but if you have dry, sensitive skin, O.N.E.'s oil is a lifesaver. It's a gentle blend of olive oil, sunflower oil, lavender, and geranium that absorbs easily and doesn't feel heavy or clog pores. We like that it's certified organic without being obscenely expensive, and it smells great, like a lavender bouquet picked out with bright red geraniums. We've been using it on our arms, legs, and lips, then dabbing it on as a spot treatment for dry spots on our faces, and it's worked like a charm. It's not the most complicated product, but sometimes the simplest things are also the best.

Say Buh-Bye to Undereye Lines

When it comes to battling crow’s feet, undereye lines, or whatever else you might call the supposedly character-building beauty marks, the best way to attack them is to use a three-pronged approach. Why Women in India Keep a Stash of Turmeric (And Other Acne Treatments From Around the World)

While many pimple-prone American women swear by three-step, acid-drenched regimens to get rid of their acne, women in other countries turn to tried-and-true, all-natural zit zappers.

India

Indian women mix freshly powdered turmeric with mint juice to form a pimple-preventing paste that is used as a spot treatment for 30 minutes and then rinsed off with tepid water. Another plant used to treat acne in India is Tulsi (Basil). Based on ayurvedic medicine, dried tulsi leaves are steeped in hot water. Once cooled, the mixture is used as a tonic for the face.

What We’re Sweet On: Night Cream That Smells as Good as It Works

Many night creams make your face feel heavy and greasy come sunrise, but Bliss has found a way to lighten things up with its The Youth As We Know It Anti-Aging Night Cream ($79). This feather-light, soaks-right-in moisturizer, however, still packs plenty of punch. And it smells rather amazing, too, redolent of fresh, light citrus aromas. Free from sulfates and phthalates, this mighty hydrator is formulated with vitamin A to aid in cellular turnover, making for a plumped, smoothed, and brightened mug. In fact, it would make an excellent night cream option for those who are looking for something that's not very intense. Think of it like the training bra of night creams.

Top Experts Beauty Resolutions, Revealed

This year started like any other: I was excited about the fresh start and trying to drum up a few resolutions. These included banning sugar from my diet, swapping takeout meals for home cooked ones (with me being that cook!) and using cash more than credit cards. But then a friend told me about her resolutions: to deep condition her hair weekly and color her own hair. This made me realize that resolutions don’t have to mean deprivation! They can be beautiful, too. Forget giving up sugar and credit cards; I resolve to do a few things that will ...
