chellerose79 says “Clearly the one for me..” about Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent for Sensitive Skin

Every once  in a while i'll have skin breakouts that a good soap and water just can't take care of, so i made it a point to have in handy an astringent to do the job. To help me with this problem, I chose the Clean and Clear astringent for sensitive skin. I am very satisfied with this product because i can really feel that it cleanses deep into the pores and removes impurities...this is also perfect for my sensitive skin. Because astringents tend to dry up the skin, i wash my face with warm water after using (to remove the smell and bitter taste) and then apply a moisturizer or a night cream, the result is wonderful. It makes my skin always feeling soft and smooth. So far, this product has done only good things to my face and i am glad because it is not easy to find an astringent that really works well. I used to buy another brand but it was too harsh it would make my skin red. So i am happy i switched to Clean and Clear!

witkowskirl says “love it” about Herbal Essences Drama Clean Refreshing Shampoo 12 oz

I really love this shampoo.  It is one of the best smelling shampoos that I have ever used.  It really has a fresh scent and a very clean feel to it.  I like how crystal clear it is because it leaves my hair full of body and bounce.  It also leaves my hair really shiny.  One thing I think about this product is that it can be hard to find.  I used to find it at Wal*Mart a lot in the past but have not seen it anywhere lately.  I really like all of the new Herbal Essences products with the exception of the Hydralicious shampoos.  It's not that I absolutely hate these, it is just that I feel that they really weigh my hair down.  I have pretty fine hair and I often wish that I did not because I feel that I could use a lot more shampoos and that a lot more shampoos would work better on my hair if it were not so fine.  Bottom line is that this shampoo has made my hair feel the cleanest that it has ever felt with the freshest scent as well.

skysoup says “I’m in love with Effaclar K” about La Roche Posay Effaclar

I have suffered from acne since I was 9 years old - pimples, dark discolorations and the occasional pock mark. Yes, adolescence was just great!

Anyway, as a result of my skin issues, my dermatologist and aesthetician are very important persons in my life. They've been wonderful about recommending products and procedures to control my flareups.

A couple of months ago, my aesthetician recommended Effaclar K. It is a very light cream (not greasy at all) that I combine with sunblock and then apply to my skin each morning. It contains salicylic acid (for treatment of the acne) and LHA (for exfoliation). It has a very faint, pleasant smell.

Anyway, it is like a very very gentle skin peel. My pimples are fewer in number, my dark marks have faded and my skin tone is more even. I still use my prescription acne medications of course but I definitely noticed an improvement when I started to use Effaclar K.

I recommend this product but beware - I plan to hoard boxes of this stuff!

witkowskirl says “better than salon brands” about Suave Suave Professionals Sleek Shampoo

I really, really love this shampoo.  I first tried it a few years ago when it first came out and I absolutely loved it!  This is the one in the bright orange bottle.  This shampoo is similar to Matrix sleek. look.  One of my best girlfriends is a beautician and has her beautician's license so she can get me salon brands like Matrix, Redken, Paul Mitchell, Bed Head, etc. for really cheap.  So I have used Matrix sleek look (also in the bright orange bottle) many times in the past.  To be completely honest, I honestly prefer the Suave brand to the salon brand.  I never thought that I would say this because I was a very loyal customer to salon brands in the past.  Since trying Suave I do not purchase the salon brands anymore.  I actually feel that the Suave brand weighed my hair down a lot less than the more expensive brand.  Not to mention the fact that you can not beat the price!  I used to pay $20 for a big bottle of Matrix and I spend less than two on Suave!
