Chic Peek: Closet Rich’s Elizabeth Kott Shares Her Truly Gorgeous DIY Ideas for Storing Stuff

How many times have you checked out another girl's outfit and then mentally "pinned" everything she has on? Guilty as charged! So, instead of standing idly by making mental Pinterest boards, I decided to ask some of women I find irresistibly chic to give me a peek into their closets.

In this week’s edition of Chic Peek, meet Elizabeth Kott, founder of the online consignment shop, Closet Rich. For Elizabeth, Closet Rich began percolating when she was the content & marketing manager for Rachel Zoe's The Zoe Report. But it wasn’t until she found herself out of work that her entrepreneurial spirit kicked into high gear. Elizabeth tells us “Closet Rich is devoted to bringing stellar pieces at affordable prices from one enviable closet into another.” As someone who helps people purge their closets for a living, I couldn’t help but ask to share her tricks of the trade. Behold!

Stella McCartney Shows Us How to Pack for a Whirlwind Trip (and Still Look Chic)

You may think that a famous fashion designer would have an unlimited stash of clothing at her disposal, making getting dressed for anything an utterly blissful affair.

And packing for a trip? Easy-peasy. Just throw it all in!

However, it appears that Stella McCartney is actually much more down to earth than that. This week, the designer went on a whirlwind tour of Asia, whizzing from Tokyo to Beijing to Shanghai to Hong Kong in just four days, where she attended numerous store openings, events, and presentations for her growing global business.

And the wardrobe she displayed over the course of the trip? It was impressive for both its chicness and obvious leanness:

In Tokyo (where she got to stand in front of special bushes that spelled out her name), McCartney wore a gray tank and white blazer with gray lounge pants. Later that same night, the designer attended the party for her new Roppongi Hills store wearing that same combo—only with fancier matching suit pants.

To open her very first store in Beijing, Stella wore a really gorgeous black shift dress from her fall 2013 collection with strappy high-heel sandals. Those same strappy sandals appeared again in Shanghai, where ...

The Dress Nicole Kidman Just Wore in Cannes Looks Suspiciously Like Anne Hathaway’s Discarded Oscar Dress

When Nicole Kidman hit the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in an ivory Valentino lace dress last night, talk immediately turned to Anne Hathaway, as some suspected this dress was originally intended for Anne at the Oscars. Remember all that dress drama with Anne, when she switched from a Valentino dress to a Prada gown at the last minute because apparently her original dress was too similar to Amanda Seyfried's? Anyway, fashion insiders are all up in arms this morning at the thought that Nicole scored Anne's dress (and looked gorge in it!).

To refresh your memory, here's Amanda's Alexander McQueen dress from the Oscars:

It turns out all this Nicole vs. Anne dress drama is much ado about nothing. Insiders at Valentino insist Nicole's dress is not the same one that Anne was supposed to wear at the Academy Awards. Will Valentino's denial be enough to stop the gossip? Maybe. At least, until the next wardrobe malfunction (yes, I just used that terrible phrase!).

Do you like Nicole's dress? Do you think this may have been the dress intended for Anne?
