MrSnuggles says “It’s not the worst but could be improved.” about Schick Quattro for Women Trimstyle
March 10th, 2010I think I used schick's razor before and they were usually of good quality. what obviously attracted me to this product was the idea that i could trim as well as shave. Its very convenient and easy to use. Even though they have levels of how far the razor can shave, I just take the cap off and use it as close as possible. It's disappointing though that it doesn't shave as close as I want (yea I know its just a trimmer but I wish it could shave even more hair off ). I love the fact that the razor end is detachable and can be replaced with their disposable razor heads. It just sucks that disposable razor heads cost a lot of money ($8-$12!). BUT that is typically with most reusable razors. Another thing I didn't like is that it didn't really trim my underarm hairs. yea i know it's weird but i wanted to remove as much hair as possible before shaving it off. Unfortunately, the trimmer didn't do anything! It works for pubic hair but for other hairs it won't trim...strange...
...babygirl3171980 says “Refillable razor and a bikini trimmer all in one.” about Schick Quattro for Women Trimstyle
March 10th, 2010I have had one of these forever and I have loved it since the day I bought it. It has a bikin trimmer on one end and the traditional razor cartridge on the other end. Has a nice textured handle for a good grip in the water, and the bikini area trimmer has a few different settings to adjust the length you want to get rid of. I think mine was around fifteen dollars, and the refill cartridges are around nine dollars for four and eighteen for eight. I thought it was a great buy considering the functions it has.Plus the cartridges seem to lst quite a bit longer than any other razors I have tried.
...Are You Like Serious Skin Care Products ?
March 10th, 2010It is very important that you take good care of your skin. You may purchase a cheap skin care product, but quality may be missing. There is a wide array of skin care products on the market today: moisturizers, anti-aging formulas and firming creams.
You may see different versions and brands of these skin formulas, but do not be fooled by the least expensive price. They may not have the ingredients that are necessary for proper skin care.
Even though a product may be more expensive, it is best to go with the skin care products that contain the proper ingredients. Let's look at some important skin care products along with the ingredients you will find in them.
Acne Skin Care Products -if you have acne, then you have probably been trying a host of cheap acne skin care products in the hopes that you will cure your skin and save money at the same time. A very good product that is used to treat acne is called Acnezine and can be purchased online.
With Acnezine you take capsules and use an acne moisturizing cream as well. The capsules contain antioxidants like Vitamins C and E, and the moisturizing cream contains natural soothing ingredients such as Calendula extract, Aloe Vera extract and Goldenseal extract. Even though this product is more expensive, you should get serious results with this product. If not, they offer a money back guarantee.
Anti-Aging Skin Care Products - another product that there are literally hundreds of is anti-aging skin care products. Many people today want to reduce wrinkles or make them go away altogether. They want to buy these products in the hopes that it will telltale signs of aging and will help prevent further aging.
You want to make sure you go with a product that will provide results. Finding the product with the proper ingredients may mean that you may have to spend more money. What does that matter if you get the desired results?
One product to consider is Revitol. This anti-aging solution has a large following and is economically priced for those who want the most for their money. It is reported to reduces the signs of aging by using ingredients such as Matixyl, Idebenone and Shea Butter. You can find this product online, and if you are not satisfied there is a 90 day money back guarantee.
Moisturizers - it is very important that you moisturize your skin so you need to get a moisturizer that is able to keep your skin healthy and moisturized. A great product to go with is Olay Total Effects Moisturizer. You can pick this product up in just about any department or drug store. It may not be one of the cheapest brands on the market today, but if you are looking for a serious skin care product this is an excellent choice.
Why? Because Olay moisturizes your face and prevents aging as well. This product does not contain any oil but some of its great ingredients are VitaNiacin, Vitamin E and ProVitamin B5. Another great product to consider is one that is put out by Neutrogena and is called Healthy Skin Face Lotion. This product has ingredients such as sunscreen, Alpha-Hydoxy Acid and Vitamins C and E.
While you may understand that it is very important to moisturize every day, you may not understand how to do it properly. Here are five great tips that will see to it that you moisturize the right way:
1. Moisturize after cleansing - after you have cleaned your skin and used a toner on it, then you should moisturize. This will ensure that you skin is damp and warm and is now ready to accept the moisturizer.
2. Don't use too much - use the moisturizer sparingly. If you use too much, it may clog your pores and make you susceptible to breakouts on your skin.
3. Moisturize twice a day - it is best if you use the moisturizer twice a day - after your morning and evening cleansing just before retiring for the night.
4. Buy the proper moisturizer for your skin type - if you use an improper product, it could spell disaster. People who have oily skin are going to have to use a different kind of moisturizer than people who have very dry skin.
5. Drink plenty of water - you have to moisturize your skin from the inside out. If you drink enough water, this can help keep your skin not only looking healthy but properly moisturized as well.

Wedding Shoes In Modern Weddings
March 10th, 2010A wedding ceremony occurs when a bride and a groom solemnly pledge themselves to one another for a lifetime, some say for eternity, in the presence of friends and family.
Celebrated today, as it has been throughout history, even to Biblical days, marriage and a wedding have been considered a sacred and solemn yet happiest event. Every culture considers a wedding, when the bride and groom enter their marriage as two individuals and becoming inextricably a part of each other, creating a new family, as the highest of all celebrations.
As the saying goes, Love makes the world go around.
Most cultures celebrate the love, devotion and commitment called wedding, with unique customs and traditions. Because the wedding is a wonderful and touching event, brides and grooms want both ceremony and reception to be personalized and unique to them. Thus, they look for meaningful experiences and often adopt customs and traditions of cultures other than their own.
The USA and recently to many other countries have become homes to people from all over the world. These people enrich the cultures with their Old Country customs, traditions and cuisine. Some traditions have become an integral pare of the modern wedding ceremony and reception.
Aisle Runner
The white aisle runner, signifies purity and a pathway into happiness. Sprinkled with rose petals the bride's path lead her to a sweet and happy future.
Bible
In many cultures, and religions it is traditional to give the bride and groom a keepsake bible as a wedding gift. It is also considered important that the bride carry one to the wedding ceremony to signify God as witnessing and blessing the marriage.
Blue - Something Blue
In ancient Israel, brides wore a blue ribbon to signify love, modesty, purity and fidelity.
Brides in many Latin-American countries wear a light blue slip beneath their dresses.
Bread, Salt and Wine Ceremony
An Eastern European tradition calls for the bride and groom to partake in bread sprinkled with salt and drink a sip of wine.
The interesting thing about this custom is that different cultures have different interpretations. So while according to Polish tradition the symbolism of the bread is hope that the couple will never go hungry, the salt that life will have its difficulties, and the wine is a blessing for health and happiness, - in Lithuanian tradition the symbolism of the bread is hard work, the salt tears and the wine joy.
bridal Bouquet
Wedding bouquets were originally made of such strong herbs as thyme and garlic, which were meant to frighten away evil spirits. Today most couples opt for flowers either because they are favorites, have special meaning or are in their wedding colors.
Bridal Handkerchief
Early farmers thought a bride's wedding tears were lucky and brought them rain for their crops. Later on in history, a crying bride meant that she would never shed another tear about her marriage. Today, the handkerchief that dabs away the tears of wedding joy and happiness is kept as a family heirloom, often in a frame or shadow box, until it is lovingly passed down from mother to daughter or to future daughter in law to use on her special day. She in turn is expected to continue the family tradition and pass it down to the next generation.
In Belgium, the family of the bride takes a handkerchief embroidered with the bride's name to the wedding. After the event, the handkerchief is displayed proudly in the family's home. As subsequent daughters in the family marry, their names are added and then displayed.
In Switzerland, junior bridesmaids carry colored hankies. Guests may "buy" the handkerchiefs by contributing a money to the couples "nest egg."
Bridal Shower
Prior to the wedding itself, it is traditional for the Maid of Honor to throw a bridal shower as part of the bridal ceremonies.
It is customary to give the bride gifts to be used at the wedding such as wedding accessories, decorations, pew bows - bridal chairs decorations, gig type gifts of a humorous nature, gifts to use on the honeymoon.
Bridal Car
Cans Tied To The Bumper and - or Honking the Horn
One of the Middle Ages wedding traditions was to bang pots, ring cowbells and generally make a lot of disturbing noise after the marriage ceremony in order to ward off evil spirits. This custom has been replaced with tying tin cans to the bumper of the car transporting the bride and groom and or and or honking horns at it while following the bridal procession to the reception to announce the marriage.
Shoes on the Bumper:
Either combined with the cans or on its own, the custom of Tying shoes to the bumper of the car has become quite popular.
The shoes reflect a rather ancient tradition.
In ancient Egypt it was customary for the father of the bride, that as he gave his consent allowing the groom to marry his daughter, he would also give him the bride's sandals to show that she once married she belonged to him.
Garter
Today, many brides will wear two garters. The garter that coordinates with her wedding accessories will become a wedding keepsake and another, a Tossing Garter, to be tossed to be retrieved by one of the single men in attendance.
Garter Pouch
Another lesser-known Victorian wedding tradition involved small bags with a bit of bread, cloth, wood and a coin to protect the new family against shortages of food, clothing, shelter and money. Add a lump of sugar to bring them sweetness all their married life.
Ivy
Ivy symbolizes eternal fidelity & wedded bliss.
A popular
Victorian tradition was for a bride to plant the ivy in her bouquet after the wedding and watch it grow through the years, passing down sprigs from the same plant for her daughters & granddaughters to use in their weddings.
Money Dance
Originating from most European countries, the Money Dance has become so popular across all weddings that a special Purse - Money Bag is one of the items present with the wedding accessories collection. Called in the USA the Dollar Dance, is where male guests "pay" to dance with the bride. Various methods are used by different cultures. In some, the bride carries a Purse and the dancers place monetary bills in it, in others the dancers pin the bills on the wedding gown, yet in others, the maid of honor wears an apron and collects the money given by the guests to dance with the bride. In all traditions, the guests are expected to be generous when "paying" for a dance with the bride. since the money collected is to be used by the newly weds on their honeymoon and for setting a household.
The money dance is so widely accepted as an integral part of a wedding, that most guests anticipate that it will be included in the celebration providing a way for brides and grooms to generate cash without requesting or even suggesting money as wedding gifts.
NOTE: We at A-wedding Day have received many inquiries regarding the proper way to ask wedding guests to give money instead of gifts. The answer to ALL was the same. There is NO proper way. It is tacky if and in bad taste. DO NOT do it!!!
Ribbon Pull
A wedding event called a "ribbon pull" is traditional to Victorian weddings. A charm is purchased for each of the bridesmaids and engraved with a wish for the future. Each charm is tied to a ribbon or a silver necklace chain. The charms are places between layers of the wedding cake as it is being assembled. Just Before the bride and groom share the first slice of cake, the bridesmaids gather so that each can pull one ribbon, claiming a "ribbon pull" that holds the promise of her future. Today, many couples offer the Ribbon pull with the rehearsal dinner cake, so the bridesmaids may wear the charms at the wedding.
Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, Lucky Sixpence. Something Old - Signifies a sense of continuity, tradition and represents the link to the bride's old life and her family.
Something New - Signifies the couple's new beginning, new life together as well as their hope for the future. Something Borrowed - Borrow something from a happily married friend or family. To wish you that your married life will mirror the happiness in her marriage, Brides can borrow Jewelry or a handkerchief from a family member or close friend.
Something Blue - Blue represents fidelity, love, and purity.
Lucky Sixpence in her shoe- Signifies wealth both financial wealth and a wealth of happiness and joy. This is an ancient custom to appease Diana, goddess of chastity and unmarried maidens, so that the bride could lose her virginity and bear children. A lucky sixpence in your shoe will bring a life of fortune. The sixpence first became known as a lucky coin then introduced by king Edward VI of England in 1551 and later became part of bridal wedding traditions in the Victorian era.
Wedding Ring
We hear of wedding ring as early as the Bible. When Abraham sent his servant to bring a wife for his son Isaac, the servant gave her a gold ring and bracelets as he asked her to accompany him and marry Isaac.
By its round shape, the wedding ring symbolizes the circle of life and its wholeness and since it has neither beginning nor end, undying, unending love. The metal symbolizes the permanence of marriage while gold with it's lasting qualities stands for beauty and purity.
In Jewish tradition, the ring must be plain with no stones and must belong to the groom.
Unity Candles
The ever popular Unity Candle ceremony might have originated in the Philippine Islands. A part of their wedding ceremony presents a set of three candles. The bride lights one candle, the groom lights another, and together the bride and groom light the Unity Candle that signifies their union as husband and wife. Actually the Unity Candle ceremony in the USA took on an additional aspect. The candle not only unites the bride and groom, but their families as well. This is why it is customary to have the mother of the bride, not the bride, light one candle, the mother of the groom lights another, and the bride and groom light the Unity Candle itself. The Unity candle has a very profound meaning for blending family where each child lights a taper candle to signify the new blended family.

Select Your Beautiful Wedding Shoes
March 10th, 2010So you've bought the perfect dress, now comes the quest to find those perfect shoes. What style will I choose? What's the best heel height? What colour? What material? When do I need them? What about my bridesmaids? Questions, questions, questions. First thing to remember is you will need your shoes for the first fitting on your bridal dress, this is because the dress maker/Bridal House will need to see the length of your gown with you wearing your shoes, in case of alterations. Second thing to remember, like your bridal gown, your wedding shoes may also take some time to arrive after you have ordered them, don't just assume you can go into any shop and walk away with your size, most shops only stock certain sizes and samples only.
Choosing the style can be very difficult as there are lots of styles available, sandals, mules, full shoe, closed toe, boots, ballet, platforms, Cinderella vinyl or even flip flops. Some styles even have a Fillable heel so you can co-ordinate your theme and outfits by putting beads, confetti or even sweets in them. Heel heights can vary from flat to 4 ? ". Choose a style and heel height you will feel comfortable wearing all day, if you don't normally wear a 4" heel, then think twice about choosing it, as when the dancing music is getting played later on, your feet will be telling you "NO", an instant party spoiler. There are a couple of solutions though if you really do want to wear those elegant 4" heels for walking down the isle. You can purchase a more comfortable pair to slip into later for when the music kicks in and you want to dance the night away, a more expensive option maybe, but your feet will thank you for it later, (also if you are wearing a long gown, no one has to know). There are also a number of products on the market that will ensure the comfort of your feet throughout the day, check out your local chemist shop or ask when you purchase your shoes. If you have a real desire to be tall on you special day, try to wear a platform, they are much kinder on the feet as it spreads your weight over the whole of your foot.
There are many fabrics available to choose for your shoes, Satin, Crepe, Silk Satin and Matt Satin, some shoe companies will even make the shoes in the exact material of your dress, its called a "Bespoken Service". When choosing the colour and material of your shoes, you need to take a look back at what the material and colour of your gown is. If your gown is Satin, then chose a satin shoe, this is a high shine material which will complement the high shine of your dress. If your gown is any other material besides satin, then you can choose a Crepe material, this is a dyeable material that has a low sheen and complements any other material. For a more expensive option you could go for a Pure Silk or Silk Satin, they also have a low sheen and complement all gown materials. Ensure you choose a colour that complements the shade of your dress, white, or various shades of ivory. A good shoe dyer will be able to apply a bridal wash and match the exact shade of your gown. You may even want to pick out a colour from your gown i.e. if you have a small red flower on your gown, you may wish to have your shoes dyed to match that red flower.
All of your Bridesmaids are different and will have different tastes in shoes, and will be different heights. Some shoes styles are available in 2 different heel heights to accommodate the difference in people. When choosing your bridesmaid shoes you should bear in mind two things, they should all be of the same type of shoe, i.e. if the bridesmaids are all showing their toes or all wearing a closed toe etc. This will make a difference when you look back on your wedding photographs, as this will be the only thing showing. And the second thing, if you are having their shoes dyed, ensure all bridesmaid shoes are dyed at the same time and from the same colour batch, as colour variation will happen.
Finally, just one last thing, you may have spend out a small fortune for those perfect wedding shoes, just to wear for only one day, but, be aware if you have bought a dyeable style, a professional dyer can dye them to another shade to match a favourite outfit, or even black, so you can get more than one days wear out of them.

Skin Care That Cares For Our Planet
March 10th, 2010There is much attention these days regarding personal and business practices that are eco-friendly, planet sustainable and green. People are looking closer at the smaller things that can make a positive impact on our life on this planet for both the present and the future. One area that has a great impact on the health of our planet, yet is not often touted as such, is skin care and body care products.
Information is circulating; the word is getting around. There is a massive market of skin care products that can be harmful to your health. Scientific evidence indicates that many synthetic ingredients used in body care products may cause cancer, birth defects, infertility, kidney and liver disease. In depth information and references can be found on the environmental working group's cosmetic database; an informational database for safe product selection.
Many of the ingredients used in commercial body care products are petroleum based synthetically derived chemicals. Those chemicals eventually end up in our streams and rivers from the discharge of wastewater from sewage treatment which does not remove petro-chemical compounds. This not only contaminates our land and water, it in turn ends up in our food supply...and so the cycle continues.
The good news is that cosmetics that are safe for people are also a healthier choice for our planet. What is special about using natural ingredients for our skin care is that plants are living substances. They contain a vital life energy. It is what differentiates living matter from synthetically derived matter. Plants are composed of the same vitamins, minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids, enzymes and hormones that we are. Our body recognizes plants as nutrition. We can safely eat most of them, use them in body care products and diffuse their oils for therapeutic benefits. Plants are best used in their natural whole form. All of the constituents of the plant must be present in their proper, natural balance for them to be in optimal support of our purpose. When elements of a plant are extracted or compromised during processing, the plant no longer acts as was intended. The wisdom of the plant is lost. Side effects may occur because it is no longer the true plant. A primary principle to consider is life responds to life. Our bodies receive and respond to the energies of plants. When the energy of the plant interacts with our energy our vital life force is enhanced.
On the contrary, synthetic ingredients are "man made" chemicals devoid of life. The body recognizes that they are different from nature's plants and one's own chemistry. The immune system registers this as foreign, possibly toxic matter and may respond with an allergic reaction.
Our skin is a reflection of our inner health and well being. It reflects radiance when we are in good health and a dull appearance when our health is compromised. Our skin functions as a major organ of elimination of toxins and impurities for our body. It can be viewed as a valuable form of body communication providing us with information about the state of our health.
When our skin appears less than vibrant and clear it is a sign of imbalance and can possibly be an indication of disease. The foods we eat, how we handle stresses, the quality of the water that we use will reflect almost immediately the condition of our skin.
Our skin is bombarded by toxic matter from our environment. Therefore it is doubly important to provide nourishment and protection with carefully chosen healthy skin care products. We can positively affect our health and the condition of our skin by the lifestyle choices we make.

Acne Skin Care Tips Help To Reduce Your Breakouts
March 10th, 2010If you are like most acne sufferers, you might get obsessed with the whole wash your face regularly and avoid certain foods thing. Although the main cause of your acne is not due to poor hygiene or eating certain foods, in so many instances some factors tend to worsen you acne conditions, leading to more pimples (zits) on your face.
Proper acne skin care helps in reducing the amounts of breakouts on your skin. A number of skin experts and health practitioners are of the opinion that natural acne treatments are the best for reducing the intensity of acne lesions on the skin and tend to recommend the following acne skin care tips.
One factor that could worsen your acne condition is clogged pores, which results in more pimples on your face. Before you go scrubbing your face a million times a day, you should know that you have to be gentle with your face. Wash your face at most thrice a day, and you should use lukewarm water. Avoid soaps that contain chemicals and ingredients that damage your skin. Try using a mild cleanser. Remember to pad your face dry and avoid scrubbing.
I know you can't help it. But hey!!! Keep your hands by your side, stop touching, squeezing, rubbing or picking your pimples and other lesions. In case you don't know, doing that can cause severe acne scarring and more acne flare-ups. So simply put "get your hands off your face".
If your are a guy, then you should be careful how you shave. Try and find out which razor type is best for your skin. Although I used to use electric razors when I had a lot of pimples on my face, but now I use "twin blades" shaving sticks to shave. Always shave gently to avoid scrapping your acne lesions, which could result in acne scars.
There is a type of acne that is termed "cosmetic acne" which is usually more prevalent in girls. Using certain type of cosmetics can worsen your acne problem or could even be the major cause of your breakouts. Oil-based (comedogenic) cosmetics are the major culprits in worsening your acne condition and you should stay clear of such. Try using water-based (non-comedogenic) cosmetics, which do not clog your pores.
If you are light-skinned (Caucasian), and you regularly sun-bathe, you might feel that a tan would look good on you by giving you a nice complexion and drying out your pimples, but you should try reducing the amount of sun exposure. When you expose your skin to high intensity sunlight, Ultraviolet rays from the sun would dry the outer layers of your skin resulting in it peeling off. Regular exposure to high intensity sunlight makes you prone to having skin cancer.
A very common argument among dermatologist, doctors and health care practitioners is whether diet affects acne or causes acne. Well there is one thing that is certain, a large number of acne sufferers know that there are certain types of foods that increase the amount of pimples (breakouts) on their face. I have noticed that there are some foods that when I take in large quantities I expect breakouts (pimples) in the next 5 to 6 days.
To prevent skin problems such as acne, white and dark spots and pimples, you should consider changing the content of your meals by including more nutritious foods. You can improve your acne condition by eating foods that are rich with antioxidants. These help in keeping you healthy by fighting heart diseases and slowing down cell regeneration. Fruits and leafy vegetables contain enough of these.
Doctors have always recommended that you take at least 10 to 12 glasses of water a day. Your water intake affects your skin's health. Taking the recommended amount of water a day would make your skin healthier. Try reducing your sugar intake by drinking less sodas, and fruit juices. Instead take fruits; this will definitely prevent age spots and discoloration of your skin.
In addition to the following acne skin care tips that you've just read, you should try using an a system, which combats you acne problem from the inside and the outside. An excellent acne skin care product is the clear pores system which consists of a deep cleansing facial and body wash, protection cream and a herbal supplement that is guaranteed to fight acne inside the body.
Another very good product is Revitol's acnezine system which also consists of a skin anti-Oxidant Capsules and a Moisturizing Cream, all to ensure that your skin is clear of acne. The acnezine system was what made my skin free of pimples. It seems the healthy pores system has so many testimonials to its effectiveness; it is also a wonderful product you can use in ridding your skin of zits.
Most acne sufferers would talk of tales of what acne did to them in terms of their social life and how clearing those little monsters off their skin has made life more enjoyable. If you suffer from adult or teenage acne, it is guaranteed that following these acne skin care tips and using an effective acne skin care product, you would have the smooth and clear skin that you deserve.
